Welcome to Pecos East Farm

Pecos East Farm originated in 1991 and is owned and operated by Don & Billie Rickert, in Simpsonville, KY.

In 1989-1990, we purchased several yearling fillies and decided to wait until they could be bred by our stallions in order to assure us of some quality mares, which would produce hands on, show quality horses.

Our first stallion was Dena Dale's Red Shadow - 31 ½". A gorgeous, solid dark red. He is still producing beautiful offspring. We added two more breeding stallions to our program in 1993. Maple Arbor's Symmetry - 31" - a dark red and white pinto who has done everything a person could ask. As a two-year old, he won the Junior Stallion Kentucky State Fair Championship. Then went on to win numerous Supreme, Grands, and National Top 10 in AMHA and AMHR. Our third stallion is Wright's Sir Lancelot. A beautiful cremello, producing buckskin, palomino, and white foals.

We have bred our mares to outside stallions of our choosing only three times in order to get other bloodlines. Our lines at this time are Orion Light Van Huttenest, Buckeroo, NFC, Blue Boy, Dell Teras, Boones, Komoko, and Bond. Since 1989, we have made sure our breeding program started with quality stallions and mares so as to produce foals anyone would be proud to own and show.
